Some celebrations are a beautiful blend of past and present, and little Nefeli’s baptism was just that—a heartfelt journey from the bustling streets of New York to the serene charm of a traditional village in Pelion, Greece.
A Touch of Tradition
Nestled in the lush greenery of Pelion, the village church provided a timeless setting for the sacred ceremony. Its stone walls, historic frescoes, and tranquil atmosphere were the perfect backdrop for this special occasion.
The peach theme was subtly introduced with a custom invitation, floral arrangements featuring soft peach roses and dahlias, handmade ceramic gifts for the guests and custom peach-colored baptismal linens and accessories. Every detail brought a sense of warmth and sweetness to the traditional surroundings.
Although the family calls New York home, they embraced their Greek roots for this milestone. The godparents played a central role in the ceremony, ensuring that the timeless traditions were honored with love and care.
Reception Under the Plane Trees''
After the baptism, guests gathered in a picturesque square shaded by majestic plane trees. Long wooden tables were adorned with peach-hued linens, fresh flowers as centerpieces, and delicate touches of greenery. The atmosphere was both elegant and effortlessly natural, embodying the beauty of Pelion.
The menu featured local Pelion delicacies, including fresh seasonal fruits, homemade pies, and a peach-infused dessert table. From peach tarts to custom peach macarons, every treat was as visually stunning as it was delicious.
