We do! Greece is a destination country for every type of religious wedding and our mission is to help you with the venue, the registars/officiants and paperwork necessary to perform your religious wedding in Greece.

WHY SHOULD WE HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER?

A wedding planner is a key asset as you embark on your wedding journey. A planner will take care of all the hundreds of details, leaving you to enjoy your engagement and wedding day. For some, wedding details like: dress, cake, invitations, and favours are simple subjects to address when the time comes to planning the big day. However, for many, the mere thought of it all becomes too much too handle. It can take, on average, over 250 hours to plan a wedding! Most couples find themselves overwhelmed as soon as the planning starts; drowning in the details. Allow us to take over and work seamlessly on every single detail from A to Z.

OUR RECEPTION VENUE COMES WITH A COORDINATOR, DO WE STILL NEED TO HIRE A WEDDING PLANNING SERVICE?

Venue coordinators work for the venue; they are available to answer your questions about the venue and assist you with your venue layout. They are someone you may contact if you need extra reassurance about the details of your wedding venue, however, their loyalty is to the venue. Their tasks do not include all the fine details that go into planning your wedding. Having a wedding planner means complete confidence that all the details are taken care of for you.

DO YOU WORK WITH SPECIFIC VENUES / CONTRACTORS/ VENDORS?

The short answer is no. If you are interested in a venue that is not listed on our site, or have a preferred supplier in mind then we are absolutely open to discussion. Remember this is YOUR day, and YOUR vision. The benefit of working with our recommended venues and suppliers/ vendors is that they have been tried and tested. We only recommend them with more confidence than those we have not collaborated with in the past. That said, we are always happy to work with new venues and vendors, as long as our clients are comfortable with their decision.

WE WOULD LIKE TO HOST A PRE/POST WEDDING EVENT IN GREECE, CAN YOU HELP?

Absolutely! The joy of a destination wedding is that your guests come to celebrate with you for more than one day, so a pre/post wedding event is something we always recommend; a relaxed pizza party, poolside BBQ, Greek meze evening on the beach or an authentic wine tasting afternoon are just some of our suggestions. Similarly, if you're planning a wedding at home and would like to arrange a pre or post wedding event then our services can be tailored to accommodate this.

DO YOU CHARGE AN HOURLY RATE, A FLAT RATE OR A PERCENTAGE OF OUR OVERALL WEDDING BUDGET? -AND DO YOU HAVE A RETAINER FEE TO SECURE YOUR WEDDING PLANNER SERVICES?

We charge a flat rate for our customized wedding planning service. A retainer fee is required to secure our wedding planner & design services. A fee schedule will be tailored to your needs prior to signing a contract.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS OR EVENTS WILL YOU COORDINATE PER DAY?

At Phaedra Liakou Events we only take a limited number of weddings every year - this means that we only do one wedding or event per day per wedding consultant.

HOW MANY ASSISTANTS WILL ATTENT ON MY WEDDING DAY?

One wedding planner and at least one-two assistants will be at your wedding depending on the size of your events. Should you have multiple locations, or a larger guest count more assistants will be appointed.

HOW DO YOU DRESS UP FOR A WEDDING?

For weddings, all wedding planners and assistants will wear professional attire or if specially specified with regards to the dress-code of your events.

WE ARE NEWLY ENGAGED, SHOULD WE TALK TO A WEDDING PLANNING SERVICE?

The best decision a newly engaged couple could make is to consult with a professional wedding planning service as soon after the engagement as possible. Phaedra Liakou Events will help you see the bigger picture of the day. As we do not act as guests, our job is to ensure the event runs smoothly, providing convenience and peace of mind. By hiring a professional wedding planner right after your engagement, you will not only save time, but also unnecessary stress. You will benefit from your planner’s previous experience, creative suggestions, guidance, knowledge, and vendor connections. Most of all, you will be able to relax and enjoy your special day knowing that any problems or emergencies that may arise are in the hands of a seasoned professional.

CAN WE BOOK A CONSULTATION WITH YOU PRIOR TO BOOKING?

Phaedra Liakou Events offers all prospective clients a complimentary one hour consultation. Upon our first meeting we will provide you with an overview of our company, who we are, how we work and what you can expect from us; we will discuss how we approach design, planning, pricing and coordination options. We will then discuss your vision, asking questions about what you are looking for and your expectations. Consultations are for your benefit and are most effective when they are highly interactive – we encourage you to ask as many questions as you wish! We do not request that you book on the spot. We want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decision to work with us. Phaedra Liakou Events has been working on weddings and cultivated events for over a decade. We specialize in destination weddings in Northern Greece (our home), Mainland Greece destination weddings, destination weddings in the Greek Islands, and abroad. IS THERE A MINIMUM BUDGET OF WEDDINGS YOU WORK ON?

We are a premium wedding planning service and plan all kinds of events; from intimate elopements with just the bride and groom, to large parties. What is far more important than the budget we work with is how realistic each budget is for your requirements and preferences. While we will always try to make things as cost-effective as possible for you, there are limitations. If something is not feasible within your preferred price-point our team will let you know and make alternative more suitable suggestions instead.

WHAT ADDITIONAL TYPES OF EVENTS DO YOU SERVICE?

Although our main focus is weddings, we work on Lifestyle Events, Baptisms, Milestones, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Bachelor Parties, Corporate Events, Branding celebrations and non-religious ceremonies.

HOW MUCH COMMUNICATION WILL WE HAVE?

We carry a strict policy to respond to all emails and phone messages in a timely manner. We will respond to all messages within 24 business hours.

WILL YOU BE PRESENT ON MY WEDDING DAY?

Absolutely yes. After months of planning we want to be there on the day, not just to see the beauty of everything come together, but also to ensure you can ease into and enjoy your day, assured that we are on hand to help everything run smoothly or efficiently deal with any unexpected hiccups should they arise. Your wedding planner you’ve contracted will personally attend your event along with at least one /two assistants.

DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE MEALS FOR THE WEDDING PLANNING TEAM?

Since a wedding easily can turn into a 10, 12, and even 14-hour working day, planner meals during your reception are much appreciated. However, we are there to do a professional work and will absolutely not drink any alcohol or join your guests at the bar or on the dance floor.
