One year before their wedding day I received an email saying: “Dear Phaedra, I came across your Instagram account and there was a photo that perfectly encapsulated what I am looking for in my wedding reception in Greece in September 2017. I am a Canadian marrying a Greek from Lechonia. I first visited Greece when I was 18 years old and fell in love with the country. Perhaps, that was just foreshadowing that 21 years later, I would meet and fall in love with a Greek! My fiance's father has an olive grove on his property in Lechonia and we are keen to integrate the beautiful simplicity of the olive trees into the decor. We are working with him to bottle little samples of his olive oil as wedding favours for the guests. We both love the outdoors, so this fits our personalities.”

And so we started to plan the wedding. La Veranda is the perfect location for an outdoor wedding and both- the ceremony and the party, took place there. The welcome table full of local delicacies was a huge hit for the guests who were travelling from abroad (Canada, UK, across Europe). I have to thank Showtime Djs who had all guests up and dancing from the first song right through until the wee hours of the next morning!
